About Alyssa

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in New York, where I specialize in treating anxiety and related disorders across the lifespan.

I was born in New Jersey, raised in metro-Atlanta (Go Dawgs!), and have called New York home for the past 15 years. My career began in community-based work—supporting families experiencing homelessness, survivors of domestic violence, and children impacted by adversity.

After eight years in community mental health, I joined the Columbia University Department of Psychiatry, where I trained and later served as senior clinical faculty at the Columbia University Clinic for Anxiety and Related Disorders (CUCARD). I also directed the Social Work Internship Program and worked as a clinician at the Center for Youth Mental Health at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.

My practice draws on advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ExRP), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Parent Management Training (PMT), and the Launching Emerging Adults Program (LEAP).

I combine evidence-based care with a collaborative, individualized approach—helping clients and families gain understanding, develop new skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.

Licensed in NY and NJ.
